Sure that is what Tony Hayward said....but what else can he say? "We are really interested in your properties so please revise the asking price upwards?" Sorry to be so sarcastic but really Swiss, you make it sound like you fell off the turnip truck sometimes when it comes to negotiating tactics. One of the first rules of acquisition, somewhat like courting a lady, is NOT to appear too interested. Otherwise you will pay a dear price, and Hayward I can assure you is fully aware of this.
My observations lead me to believe Genel as well as a number of others including Exxon, are still red hot and willing to go after other properties but don't want to appear too eager. I think there is a lot of action occurring right now regarding VST but we simply are not privvy to it, yet. We will just have to wait and see.
