Johns presentation It hac been a couple of days but I did not bring my computer to the PDAC so i could not add comments untill now.
Much was as previous presentations . the leadbeater is a unique deposit MODEL and it is hard to change the old minds towards a new theory....
Results from University researchers out west on the indicator minerals show that they formed at the diamond stability field (notwithstanding ) that present thinking says the crust was not thick enough to make conditions at that depth so that the diamonds could form. The temperature and pressure and depth of formation of the indicator minerals in the leadbeater Conglomerate TELL us that the crust must have been thick enough at 2.7 billion years ago. to allow for diamond formation and pipe development. So where are those pipes burried today?
Further University studies atytempt to locate indicator mineral chemistry fingerprints from the Leadbeater samples to other minerals from rocks of that age in the near vacinity. The K rims on some Pyrope garnets say the source is close. My aside--- that close does not need to mean next door as faulting splitting of continents rifting or whatever in 2.7 billion years could account for 10's of kilometers of displacement between the parent and the Leadbeater rocks)
Anyway John put up a slide showing two blocks containing rocks with the same signatures as the Leadbeater indicator minerals studied by the University types.one is a square box south of James Bay area . Size and exact position not left up long enough to lock good co-ordinates to. The second box was rectangular and the north side of this e-w trending area has the north line positioned just south of the first box and trending west towards the manitoba border. I fealt thet the first box is at least in part of the James Bay Lowlands and the second western box was at least partly in the same james bay Lowlands.
I am amazed that John is playing his strengths by arming Dianor with the tools - data that will allow us to captue the claims covering the likely source of the earliest imagined kimberlites - WHEN WE GET THE MONEY to move ahead. He did it in Quebec finding the same type of conglomerates AND I see his aim here to locate sources for these earliest of diamond bearing kimberlites.
There is nothing for me to say about Joe and other issues - you guys had that figured monts ago - why are you patting each other on the back - There is good news - "WE ARE NOT DEAD YET" I am fond of saying that since after 40 years of researching Torngat diamonds someone told me "It is a little late now"
I replied as above and a month or so later was asked to explore for kimberlites - yes you guessed where...
You have to believe you have a purpose and thet you can do it. This project will move ahead.
A I did last year I had 2 groups ask me if I had Iron Properties for option... I passed that info on to John. He took the contact cards. And he gave one back to me
I have a third contact that sells Iron ore into China and will see what we can do there - and pass that on.
Pay Joe off and start digging that alluvial.....
