HRT 3D Seismic Survey Beside The Sharon BlockKeep on the radar, HRT's current 3D seismic survey is in the same region of the Walvis Basin as EOG's Sharon Block. Good news will boost EOG's share price considerably.

HRT Participações em Petróleo is planning a four well exploration drilling campaign offshore Namibia in 2012.
HRT’s plans have been boosted by the addition of 815 million barrels of oil equivalent prospective resources to its already bulging prospect inventory. The new resources are derived from the mapping of prospects encompassing 2.1 thousand km of 2D seismic data and 1.5 thousand km2 of 3D seismic data acquired in 2010, covering blocks 2813-A, 2814-B and 2914-A in the Orange Basin.
Industry consultants DeGolyer & MacNaughton have now certified, net to HRT, 7.9 billion barrels of oil equivalent prospective resources offshore Namibia; 1.1 billion boe in the Walvis Basin and 5.8 billion boe in the Orange Basin.
To assist in selecting well locations, 5,278 square kilometres of 3D seismic data has been acquired over blocks 2112-B and 2212-A in the Walvis Basin, and 1,137km sq. in Block 2815 in the Orange Basin. Bad weather interrupted a 2,660 km sq. seismic acquisition over blocks 2813-A, 2814-B, 2713-A and 2713-B in the Orange Basin, and the programme will resume in November.
“This new certification work by D&M gives us more confidence on the huge oil and gas potential of our Namibian blocks. Not to mention that the mapping work, for future certification, that is being conducted by HRT America with the recently acquired 3D seismic surveys, is still to come” emphasized Marcio Rocha Mello, HRT CEO and IRO.
