Yes liquidity is a big factor, I believe the commons have a better chance of rising at a quicker rate, and getting the price you want for them.  I also don't believe arbitration is a guarantee, owners of the preferred could easily vote for an amendment or on a new preferred being issued instead, I highly doubt the majority of A and B holders are on this board so regardless of what people post here it doesn't mean that people will vote against an alternative to conversion if proposed. Bottom line is no one on this board knows what is really going on, everyone here assumes and then over assumes again and again.  So my point is why not wait and see what management says, yes I'm aware they tend to take their sweet time with that- but atleast that would be fact rather than speculation and assumptions.
