thoughts about company strategy

thoughts about company strategy

which really in the long term is what matters to most holders , rrsp and pension funds

( not the day to day short and long traders whom over a one year time studies have shown lose money 90% of the time )

should Teck have as much exposure to oil sands as they do ? Suncor partnership and now  silverbirch purchase

should they be worried about iron ore at all ( Fortescue investment

should they be worried about expanding coking coal (quintette

any thoughts ( are they losing focus?

they seem to be doing a little bit of everything

buying back a bit of stock ...increasing the divvy a little.... a little toe in the water in iron ore ...a little more of a bigger toe in oil ........ lets keep a little copper project over here and slowly develop that just in case ....

is it safe to assume this company appears to be all over the map  right now

it looks like they are going to need billions of dollars in the next 10 years to do all of this ........ is it scaring a lot of money managers ? .....

look at cliffs natural resources yesterday .. they said they are going to slow down expansion and investment in capital projects until the world economy stabilizes and return capital to shareholder via a huge increase in the dividend ................ the stock is up 10% in two days .......nobody likes uncertainty right now ....and it appears that  Teck keeps piling it on  ...yes/no?
