You can't heat a slurry pipeline. there's not enough power in labrador to do that. When the pipeline as to run above ground it's subjected to -30 degree temperatures where flow cannot be maintained. It basically becomes hard sludge. Railway is the only practical way. Thats why they have been here the last 50 years.
