RE: RE: BAJ's Cash Cost Here are the (very conservative) figures used by the banks when they agreed to participate in the Baja debt financing package in 2010:
US $1.75 per pound for copper
US $12.00 per pound for cobalt
US $950 per tonne for zinc sulphate.
This data might seem outdated and only of historical interest. In fact, this was the basis upon which Baja got its project debt financing approved. In other words, at the above commodities prices, the banks felt comfortable in lending Baja hundreds of millions of dollars.
I suppose that this is part of the reason why MK felt comportable in buying US $80 millions of Baja capital stock. And feels comfortable in buying another 10% of Baja capital stock. And why I feel comfortable in owning 25,000 shares.
Cheers,
Doug.
