Warren Buffet

Warren Buffet

doesn't like gold, so probably doesn't like gold miners, but might make exceptions for exeptional companies like Volta.  Here's a good quote from recent edition of Investor's Digest

"How did he (Buffet) get to be so happy? His holdings constantly go up and down.  But is he depressed when his portfolio goes down, but happy when it goes up? No.  Mr. Buffett doesn't worry about dailyy market prices.  He thinks long term and determines the progress of his holdings as the business grows, not by its market quote.  He knows that over the long term, his holidings are going to do fine.  And this gives him peace of mind.................You can check the 52 week low and 52 week high price of any security and there will be at least a 50 per cent variation.  .......I never attempt to make mone on the stock market" Mr. Buffett once remarked   "I buy on the assumption that they could close the market the next day and not reopen it for five years."
