The article points out that Canada is a better bet to export LNG than the USA as Canada is unlikely to see it as "exporting jobs".

That means the Duvernay is primed for takeover.   The market for export to the USA is saturated.  Much better to export via Kitimat to China as LNG.

I don't think the BXE CEO made a trip to China to buy cheap golf clubs.  It was all about making contacts to sell the Duvernay property imo. This is the route I would go.  However, there is no reason why a Chinese buyer would not be willing to do a 50/50 deal, say put up 150 million and get BXE to do the drilling.  Let BXE siphon off the liquids and sell the NG until the LNG train gets started.

Lots of options.  I like an outright sale.
