RE: Break even point coming ???

RE: Break even point coming ???

You'll have to teach me how to count because I really don't see us coming close to being break even on a cash basis any time soon...

Here's a review that pretty much support what I've been saying for a while. It's just someone opinions, but it's still interesting.

https://jonfaec.com/the-final-verdict-on-d-box-an-mildly-fun-poin

Highlights :

  • Consider the premium to be way to high, especially is you think about going with your family
  • It's a cool gadget
  • A luxury
  • Better than 3D
  • Worth it to try it once, but not great enough to make you want to pay the premium for every movie

That's pretty much what we observe in the financials. When they open some locations, the $/seat is high and then it declines as most people who wanted to try it, tried it, thought it was cool but not worth the crazy premium, and then you only got a small group of big fans and the rest of the first time users to support your business.

Their problem is really just that they aren't targeting the right market. The product is good, I think most people like it, or at least prefer it to 3D, but the product is priced as a luxury item, so out of the general movie goers budget…
