I agree,   my bet is when Tecks first quarter #'s are released sometime in late April it will show that they have improved over first quarter of last year.  Teck had a great 2011 overall with great profits.   I really think that some  people try to scare off us retail investors in order to scoop up cheaper shares,  for example if a Company had sales of 1,000,000.00  dollars and they increased them by 10%  that would equal  1,100,000.00           Lets just say the following year they increased by another  100,000.00  dollars    it would only be   around 9%       Dollar wise their increase was as much as the year before but % wise not so much.   The media will always paint it as the demand has dropped     and  if you go back 3 or 4 years   they can play it out to make it look even worse.   I perfer to look at their actual sales  and margins  and net profit, if one does that you will see that Teck is in great shape with tons of cash and well positioned going forward.
