RE: SHARE PRICE The bear case is pretty easy to make - Osisko had an option on CFO's main property, poured a good chunk of money into it, and then WALKED AWAY. For most, it probably doesn't get any more complicated than that. The value of gold in the ground that will never be mined is 0.
Compounding the selling is the fact that CFO will definitely need to raise a good chunk of cash this year. Why should buyers pay up now when they stand a good chance of being able to participate in a private placement? They'll need at least $25-$30mm this year, and it's not clear whether they'll take the Osisko loan when all is said and done.
Finally, there's the fact that the halt lasted a long time, so there is pent up selling pressure. Keep in mind that from the halt until now, $CDNX has dropped 22%.
All this looks like short-term troubles, though. I am hoping to build up a nice long-term position over the months ahead.
