I misunderstood the......

situation in Mali.  The soldiers in the picture are Mali soldiers.  They overthrew the president because he was supposedly not doing enough to stop the Tuareg fighters that came from Libya and have taken control of several towns in northern Mali.  So the Tuareg's are the ones that took all the arms from Libya, not the Mali military.  From what I understand the soldiers that commited the coup are trying to fight the rebels (Tuaregs) that are trying to take over their country.  Lets just hope that they can get the situation under control, have their elections in a month and restore stability to the country.  In these past couple of years (thanks to OLE) it seems that I have learned more about West Africa than my own state of Florida.
