Power on Display

Power on Display

Here's a key component of Microplanet's Voltage Optimization from p. 13 of Sept. Presentation:

* First energy efficiency technology to provide real-time data on usage and savings to customers

Here's Essential Energy of Australia's news from February 2012 Power on Display

“The IN-Home Displays let families monitor their energy consumption as they’re using it, rather than waiting for their bill to arrive and then trying to remember what drove their consumption over the previous three months.”

“By simply walking around the house turning appliances on and off, customers will instantly know how much energy their individual appliances are using and have an idea of how much they cost to run.”

The easy to use display shows the current rate of energy use in kilowatts (kW), indicative cost in dollars per hour and the combined energy use in kilowatt hours (kWh) over a set period.

I assume they are talking about the Microplanet Technology. Real time data is a cool selling feature in helping you save money on your power bill.

Hopefully we'll soon hear from Microplanet on how their certification and funding is going. If they get over this hump I think they will be alright.
