RE: RE: RE: Fact before January Regardless of whether or not SLI cherry picked high grade veins or the bulk samples came from development material, at the end of the day those bulk sample programs (which went on for years and years and years) have added nothing to a resource estimate. So is that money well spent?
No one is disputing the fact that SLI has high grade gold in narrow veins. They do. I'll shout it from the roof tops if it makes you sleep better. What is painfully obvious, however, is the fact that SLI has failed to demonstrate over the last 12 years how much gold they actually have. No amount of gold above 4460oz has ever been proven. For all anyone knows that's all there is. Drilling is what defines 3 dimensions and drilling will be the maker or breaker of this property. Initial results are not encouraging. Maybe future drill results will be blockbuster, but it is not gauranteed.
The hard reality for existing stakeholders is that all those high grade bulk samples are meaningless if SLI cannot demonstrate that a viable deposit exists at Tesoro. If drilling is a bust, how, may I ask, will SLI prove up this property, particularly considering they have been unable to so up to this point? Think about how many other discoveries have been made, proven up, sold to majors or have gone into production over the same period of time SLI has been bulk sampling Tesoro.
