RE: hey nlr

Neat thing I found about our esteemed CEO.

Trevor Spagrud
President and CEO of Titan Exploration Ltd.

Trevor Spagrud regularly puts in 12-hour days ? and that's why working out, he says, is vital. "It's a great stress reliever, and it keeps you more alert in the afternoon," he says. He encourages his team to do the same ? and with the pace Titan has been setting, they likely need the relief. Since starting the company in 2004 with two other founders, Spagrud has led Titan (TSX: TTN.A) from zero production to 2,800 boe per day (its product mix is 65-67% oil; the remainder is gas). The company has grown to 14 full-time employees and a small crew of part-time consultants. Spagrud says one goal is to keep building the company until people have to hire other people to do their jobs. "That's when we'll take a step back and see if that is really what we want to be doing," he says. "At that point, we'll look at a sale, the potential of a trust."

Perhaps Spagrud, 37, likes the feel of a close-knit company because he comes from a small town: Rockglen, Sask. ? population, about 450. After graduating with an engineering degree from the University of Saskatchewan, he worked his way up from an engineer position at SaskOil to vice-president of engineering at Enterra Energy Corp. When Enterra became a trust, in 2003, Spagrud still wanted to be involved in a junior, so he started Titan. His personal goals? "I have none, other than the success of my business, the happiness of my employees," he says, "and to make sure that my life remains balanced and the relationship with my family is always strong. I can't ask for anything more."

Ya I agree speculating on Takeovers is very fun and takes away having to make the hardest decision, when to sell. Haha. I don't care if HYX gets bought or not because I believe in the management and assets. At some point they will have to either sell out or make an acquistion to keep sufficient running room. HYX would make a good takeout for PGF because the Garrington assets fit perfectly and they could use the cashflow to fund Lindbergh. If not, oh well I believe in the story.

As far as 3MV goes I'm supposed to call the IR guy sometime so we can discuss some questions I have. I'm also going to be driving through Fisk around April 20th so I'll be able to do a bit more research in person. I'm leery about jumping in now as its so thinly traded. If it costs me a bit more to get into after a PP is announced then so be it, worth it for piece of mind. (Sorry for board clutter anyone who is uninterested in TMV. Haha.)
