Mosquito dissident IEMR seeks to overturn holder votes
2012-03-26 09:46 ET - News Release
Mr. Brian McClay reports
Mosquito Consolidated Gold Mines Ltd. has received a petition filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia by the dissident shareholder International Energy and Mineral Resources Investment (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. seeking to overturn the votes of the majority of shareholders at the 2011 annual general meeting held on Dec. 16, 2011. According to the records of the securities commission, IEMR is under the control and direction of former director of the company Hongxue Fu.
The company is disappointed that IEMR has taken this step after failing to persuade the shareholders of the company to vote in its favour. The company intends to strongly defend itself against this unjustified action and to take appropriate measures against IEMR and other dissident shareholders.
