DD: WHY DO INSIDERS SELL SHARES? Insiders have expiry dates on convertible securities (options and warrants), regardless of the company’s progress, and may require that they become exercised. On top of that, all options have immediate tax consequences requiring immediate remittance of taxes due and owned at the time of exercising the options (no delay) and that may require selling to occur to cover some of those costs (even if you want to retain the stock from the options).
This should answer why an insider sold a small amount today.
