RE: EGM Okay I read your post Hmmmmmmm and you are correct but I do have some serious question in regards to calling an EGM before the vote on teh sale is over adn we were successful.
1) Let's say we win the vote and BOTH sales are rejected, we do know what were up against, I doubt that management will stay on as they were defeated and their authority to manage has been upsurped therefore I feel they would ahve to resign. This in my opinion is the best case scenario as they have resigned and therefore severance would be at a minimum compared to out and out firing them.
2) If an EGM was called and the main objective of that is to replace management what then? Okay management have been fired, were now open for lenghty lawsuits and worse, who is runnng the company? We'r emainly here in Canana and we know nothing about what is going on in S. Africa. Do we hire a new BOD on the spot? Do we fly out to S. Africa Canadian mining execs to run the company? All these things much be decided BEFORE an EGM is voted on ..... Am I missing something here?
At least with keeping those fools running the place for the time being we can hire an overseer to ensure the comapny is NOT being destroyed right in front of us. Remember that saying Keep your friends close, KEEP YOUR ENEMIES C L O S E R....
I'm quite sure that if the sale is halted, Deon will be saying his goodbyes....
