Hi adit - just ten miles from here there is an island in the St. Lawrence River that has forty or so windmills on it. Another island is slated for thirty-five. Both of these islands are on migratory bird flight paths, and the kill rate is enormous, including the bats that consume insects.

As you can imagine, these "wind farms" are eyesores that have cluttered what used to be a pristine landscape. Windmills are notoriously unreliable as well. This was a government sponsored project, and it was going forward come h@ll or high water.

Here's hoping CEC has a good future - they've done this before.
