Rumour and inuendo are incredibly frustrating and I fail to understand what yourself and PG have to gain by constantly bagging CSI on this board. I know this story, the deposit, the locals and the company and am at a loss as to why there are the constant few that wish to create an atmosphere of suspicion about a project and company that have not only done wonders to bring ´the impossible´ project to fruition, but done so in a way that has already, and will even more, change the lives of countless people who have lived in misery for far too long. Have you been to Serra Pelada? Well I have and have known the story for a while. The work of CSI has created lives for the kids of countless garimpeiros that have never even had the dream of having a trade, education or future. This is the legacy of Curio...misery, suffering and isolation. Why did Serra Pelada still have reported cases of leprocy, child prostitution, substance abuse and terribly high rates of HIV infection until recently? One word my friend...Curio. He cut these people off and left them without even basic hygene and communication for 20 years...for what? ego? control?
So, when you feel the need to bag CSI and create an atmosphere of suspicion for those that may fall for your conspiracy theories please think about the literally hundreds of people who are for the first time in their lives living with some notion of opportunity in their lives as CSI has brought this project a long way in a very professional manner and THEY will also benefit from this. They are not stock holders, most dont understand this concept, but remember while this may be a game to you it is deadly serious for these people and the last thing they will want is another 20 years of suffering under Curio.
So my friend...do you still think the community is waiting with open arms for Curios return? I dont think so. I have spoken to those who in the past were die-hard Curio supporters through their own ignorance. His name is not mentioned anymore, he is forgotten and unwanted.
Serra Pelada is a great deposit and will be an outstanding mine. The work of those that have got this project this far is also outstanding. Never will you see a project that has overcome so much mistrust, political uncertainty, bad history and misery turn into a successful mining operation in this period of time. Grade is king my friend and Serra Pelada is very unique
