Yeah, that's usually how they would do it.  15% of the total.  But, there were 2-3 larger items of significant value that were originally listed to go to the auction but then were removed just before it started.  We have no idea what they sold for, and I can only assume that they were removed from the auction because they were sold prior to the start of the auction.  Unusual, but it does happen.  So, the total will be more than that, but your addition for the items that remained posted matches mine.  It's sickening to think that $9,000,000 of equipment was sold for this ridiculous amount of money.
