Untenable? How So? While the dissidents have asked the court to set aside certain votes counted at the AGM, that'll take a while to work through the system and a decision in favour of the dissidents lekely could/would be appealed.
Even if the court ordered that the count be irrevokably set aside, then presumably a new AGM would have to be scheduled.
Since December 1, 2011, Canaccord is long 1,897,000 shares, Merrill 487,000, UBS 1,015,000, Citigroup 486,000, Leede 123,000 and ITG 137,000. That's almost 4.1 million shares...about the number of disputed votes, isn't it?
While no insiders have filed reports showing accumulations, and while Anonymous has been feeding paper into the mix, those shares could be voted in favour of the incumbent board.
Meanwhile, Kirkness has its new website, father and son are still drawing down their $25,000 or so each month, and the plane, boat and Benz are likely busy being busy.
Brian inpressed somebody enough to be awarded a bump in salary and a bonus last year. Wonder if that same someone will give him another raise and another $45,000 bonus again this year?
