RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: POYRY I've made my blunders as well, and I'm currently sitting on some ERF right now that will take a lifetime to be whole on.
I stepped on a rake with ERF - twice. First I drank the kool-aide and got pretty excited about their Marcellues play with New York Gate pricing for production and then their North Dakota Bakken play and the predicted increase in cash flow and oil production so I failed to bail when the price was really good. Not satisfied with that, I sold some really good George Weston retractable preferreds and doubled down on BonaVista and Enerplus as the prices declined. I did pull the plug on Enerplus in January for a small capital loss (unclaimable because it's inside my RSP) but hung onto BonaVista because I think they are in a better position to weather the storm. So, same stock, different outcomes due to differing opinions of when and if to bail. Happens all the time.
Anyway, this will likely be my last post in this forum for a while. We are packing and pulling up stakes in Florida and heading home, but by way of Nashville I hate living out of a suitcase but it will make my wife very happy to be back in Grand Ole Opry land. She always hopes to catch a glimpse of a country music star on the street or in a mall..
