QUALITY COUNTS

QUALITY COUNTS

CLQ has a good quality resource on their hands. The kind of quality needed to meet the the demands of lithium battery manufactures. We are not talking about lithium grease quality here. Also being mined from ore gives them the ability to turn the product around quickly. Out of the ground and down the road in five days. This makes it much easier to expand and retract as needed with market conditions. Typical brine processing takes between 12 and 18 months, not so good for getting top market dollar unless you have a crystal ball to tell you what demand is going to be 18 months out. Mining from ore is more cost intensive due to increased energy consumption but adds much needed flexibility. Plus being situated in Quebec gives them access to some of the cheapest power per kilowatt hour in North America. Also uniquely positioning Quebec for grid storage allowing them to store power over night and sell it across the border in peak power period conditions.
