Something has changed in the stock's sentiment. I would say that info is coming out very soon.  The weak bid side from the last few months seems to be gone as does the unrelenting selling. TD was a big buyer yesterday and they were the ones that went short at around $8.00 a few months back.

Interesting that yesterday after the US government released a statement that they would  allow the commodities exchange to increase margin requirements gold dropped $15.00 but SMF held and got stronger. Obviously speculators getting out quickly.  Normally this would tip the stock for a 4 or 5 % drop.  Gold seems to be just drifting within a range moving with the noise from Spain. If tomorrow's initial claims report is well above expectations gold will rise quickly.  There has been very little positive news over the last two weeks in the US and if tomorrow is bad and gold goes up, the entire gold sector should move significantly.
