Shares Out, Trading and Performance On slow days when one person decides to sell a stock it can have a dramatic, but temporary, effect on the share price. In my opinion today was such an occurance.
I was moved to write this piece tody as an acquaintance todaysaid he wasn't interested in UBR because he had "looked into past of UBR. They have 80 mil shares of cheap paper 2 and 3 cent financings plus debt issues at 3 cents". He dismissed it out of hand without really looking. I won't question his motives.
Many others might be tempted to do the same thing. Here is what I know:
My reckoning is that 80% of the stock this person is talking about has been 'cleaned'....
The facts are simple:
from June 2010 to Dec 2010, the total Volume was 61 MM shares @
.047
from Jan 2011 to Dec 2011 the total Volume was 104 MM shares @
.0459
and from Jan 2012 to Present, the total Volume was 44 MM @
.0.34..
So, the shares inquestion are no longer in the hands of those who were in financings, and those same shares are now in the hands of traders at higher prices.
I am not saying that a high share count is ideal, but I have yet to see the bogeymen some claim lurk in this stock. Examination of the trading over the last three years tends to support my version of events.
The remainder of untendered stock is at .10 and above.
When it is time to move this stock, it will move, on the reporting of fundamental events. That day is now approaching as you saw yesterday with the first shot across the bow: the hiring of a professional top tier IR firm. Give them some ammo, something to work with developmetally, and watch what happens.
Have a good evening,
Cal
