Romara mentioned the prospect of a merger between Monument and YNG yesterday.

I looked closer at Monument Mining and its prospects in Malaysia. I was surprised to discover that Malaysia is indeed one of those rare entities: a stable Islamist country. MM seems to be definitely on the right track, with essentially the same people running it as YNG -- if I find one management group credible, then the other is as well.

Question is, although both companies have adjoining offices at 688 West Hastings, what would be gained by Monument  absorbing/merging with YNG?  It would be less susceptible to a hostile takeover?  The combination would be more attractive to a friendly takeover?

Just wondering...
