RE: Cowboy I'm thinking that new people coming to this board (even if they are wacked out and have nothing of constructive dialogue to add) are a good thing. It tells me that Bard and the area of interest surrounding GTA is widening. Good movement on GTA with an uptick on good volume and news to come out soon (perhaps early next week). Should be some good results as there was VG noted in the core of the two holes out for assay.
Long term the big dollars should be spent at Lone Pine as the deposit there clearly has the earmarks of a nice silver mine (with moly credits). Short term, the market's interest is the area play that GTA is creating. With each batch of good results from GTA, the value of the land encompassing the GTA claims grows proportionately. Claims in the area have increased from $100/unit to $300/unit already. They are heading higher as GTA increases in value.
Remember, only three players are in the immediate area - GTA, Strike and Bard. There are others coming. It's going to be THE HOT SPOT this year in gold exploration in Canada. Need to remember, this is a very under-explored part of the Schreiber-Hemlo belt. Most of the previous explorers concentrated on an area within 40 km of the deposit. While, claims were staked during the Hemlo ruch of 81-82, there was little Phase 2-type exploration in this area. Most of the recorded work dates back to the 1930's. I belive gold was selling for under $25 an ounce back then.
