RE: RE: buyout
RE: RE: buyout AAA you make a good point. With IMC doing all the governmental negotiating and MOA, I had wondered whether they are thinking of a buyout of Sangdong. No doubt the thought has crossed their mind too. Yet Woulfe really seems to be acting like they plan on holding on to Sangdong long term and using the cash flow to finance all their other projects. Either way it should be a win-win for Woulfe.
On a similar topic, do you ever wonder what the Chinese reaction is to losing their existing IMC contract for tungsten. It will be a good litmus test to understanding the true Chinese situation. If they really are starting to have the shortage of tungsten they are telling the world about, then loss of this offtake arrangement with IMC will balance their situation in a way that they will have the needed tungsten for for their own domestic market. On the other hand, if the Chinese are not being truthful when they claim to be a net importer of tungsten, then the loss of sales to IMC could result in the lowering of their tungsten prices in order to attract other purchasers outside of China. I bet guys like Ecclestone (the world expert on tungsten supplies) will be watching this closely to get a good read on what is really going on in China with tungsten supply.
