Time to Take an Honest Inventory

Time to Take an Honest Inventory

There are, in my opinion, two types of investors in AMK who post here; those who believe in the company, despite all the red flags that their financial statements and news releases contain.  Those folks, like the over-the-hill club boxer, can sure take a punch!

Like the wives of abusive or violent husbands, they "stick by their man," even denying to themselves that something is wrong with the marriage.  Some stay in the marriage to their own peril, but, fortunately, this is a "marriage" you can walk away from.   These are the investors I feel sorry for because I view them as victims of what I believe to be a poorly managed company.

The other type of posters here I suspect are willfully misleading the abovementioned investors.  The evidence?  The stock is in the dumper and they are without a care, immune to logical arguments and seemingly unaware of the critical facts disclosed in AMK's own financial statements; the massive dilution; missing records; regulatory issues....possible misleading helicopter reports.  Draw your own conclusion as to who is doing that type of posting; I suspect they are folks who have got their "money in good," and knew when to get out and get back in.  That's my theory, of course; you judge for yourselves.  Why else are they so merry when the AMK chart looks like a scary ski jump!

I've been posting on TUO since 2008 and have tried to be fair to AMK over the years.  I wanted AMK to succeed because that would have been great for shareholders of both companies, AMK and TUO.  But to have things at Treaty Creek come to a screeching halt in 2009????  It's inexcusable.

I know, the few remaining AMK shills will say it was "Dino's fault."  It's never the fault of a company that pays management $450,000 a year from funds raised by stock sales.  Shareholders of AMK:  Don't take my word for anything; read your own company's financials; figure out how much cash and dilutive stock issuance to management has taken place; look at management's sales of stock and repurchases at lower prices and decide if your money has been well spent.

There are "pumpers" and "bashers" on most bullboards; but there are also honest people who are not bashers who criticize even their own company when it's gone off the rails and folks who point out legitimately exciting prospects based on things like good management, great properties and exciting things happening near their own company's projects.  If that's pumping, I'm guilty of that.

If citing AMK's own reports and news releases and pointing out negative things that are true is "bashing," then I'm guilty of that.

But I don't believe I fall in either the "pumper" or "basher" category and those who have followed my posts over the years know that.  There is an archive on Stockhouse so you can see for yourselves.  Can you say the same about a handful of posters here?  I don't think so.
