Answer to your question

Rim problem is not the fact itis a public company or a private company.

RIms problem is producing a product and getting it out on time and using cash up because they are losing market share to other comapnies.

So going private is not going to help the problem.

Rim needs to develop a product that is better, cheaper than the other companies to survive, or spin off some patents or branch out into patent business, or some other bussines that generates profit.

I think there are too many companies producing tablets and phones.
