RE: RE: Drill Result Comparisons
RE: RE: Drill Result Comparisons Location is definitely the strength of Sangdong. Not only close to infrastructure, but also refiners and then the the end market. Keeping in mind that a relatively remote location (although both Cantung and Mactung have road access ... Mactung's needing only to be upgraded.) can have it's advantages because of a lack of conflict with other land/water use issues at the approval stage.
But what it does point out is first, the relative quality of both of NTC's holdings compared to projects in developement (Sangdong is better than the UK and Portugese projects proposed for 2014) and Cantung and it's adjacent claims, haven't even been fully delineated yet... and secondly, the feasibility of reprocessing the tailings of past workings at Cantung. I had wondered about NTC's intentionn of doing this, but if their previous recoveries were only 65-70% that will leave tailings that are not much below the grade of the mineral resource of these other projects; they can be reprocessed while the mining and processing of raw ore is still going. I believe this puts NTC in an excellent position to build up inventory and react to favourable market conditions, extending the life of the project if Mactung development is put off.
