You make a lot of good points...but...you are missing one big piece of the puzzle.

The Trelawney Team is a lot more clever than you are giving them credit for.

The series of events that took place pre-deal and are about to take place post-offer have been systematically planned and are part of a well thought out strategy that is very, very clever.
