RE: RE: New Technology->cyclops
RE: RE: New Technology->cyclops No I do not mean side tracks are new canadafox. My meaning on the side track is a smaller hole size and possibly reduced completion size which may reduce the ultimate flow capabilities. Meaning subsequent wells drilled with out the need of a sidetrack may produce considerably higher flow rates.
On the completion techniques, yes there are new stimulation techniques for HZTL well bores. Why don't you do some research into multi stage fracing of HZTL well bores. The ability to place more than 20 individual fracs in a single HZTL well bore has only been perfected in recent years. Also look into mono bore completion techniques using Coiled Tubing and packers to isolate, brazer jet cut, then fracing down the back side of the coiled tubing in HZTL wells. By the way the dead leg on the coiled tubing makes for great pressure monitoring of frac pressures and provides excellent instantaneous shut in pressure following each frac.
