Only God can save us now "I'm confused. I feel numb and confused. Only God can save us now," said Panagiota Makri, 80, crossing herself and launching into a long prayer on an Athens street.

Looks like the chance of Greece defaulting come late June is very very high at this point. The only way in which this 'eventuality' can be avoided is if the 2 ruling parties of the past 40+ years, New Democracy and Pasok who both signed off on the austerity program in exchange for the bailout, can muster up enough votes in the second round of elections in early June. This looks highly unlikely as the Greeks want the political establishment booted out.
All the bailouts to date in my opinion has been about buying time for the EU banks. When Greece does indeed default, let's hope that we don't get a repeat of 2008 and this strategy of buying time does indeed pay off. Relying only on hope is a dangerous situation to be in. GLTA
