U.S. NG demand to outstrip supply in 2012

U.S. NG demand to outstrip supply in 2012

New report

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimated that U.S. marketed natural gas production
will average 69.1 bcf/d in 2012, a YoY increase of 2.9 bcf/d, but a 0.1 bcf/d decrease from its previous
estimate. The EIA said declining production growth in dry gas areas such as the Haynesville Shale was
the driver behind the downward revision. The EIA raised its U.S. natural gas demand estimate to 70.2
bcf/d, a YoY increase of 3.4 bcf/d, and 0.6 bcf/d higher than its previous estimate of 69.6 bcf/d.
