Info on Hydro asset Taken from p.84 of IPO prospectus:
Energy Facilities
The electricity generating facilities at the Landqart Mill consist of two hydroelectric turbines both of which
are situated within two kilometres of the mill. The two turbines produce on average an aggregate of
8,000 megawatt-hours of electricity per year. The electricity generating facilities at the Landqart Mill generate
on average approximately 40% of the annual electricity needed by the mill. The balance of the electricity
required by the Landqart Mill is purchased from the local utility provider. Total generation varies from year to
year and is dependent on, among other things, water levels and seasonality.
The steam required by the Landqart Mill is supplied from an independently owned waste burning
incinerator facility situated approximately nine kilometres from the Landqart Mill. Fortress owns the only steam
transmission pipeline extending from the incinerator facility. The steam supply agreement for the Landqart Mill
expires in January 2011 and automatically renews thereafter until a party terminates the agreement upon
providing one years’ written notice.
