If AngloGold Ashanti has all these billions of dollars:

Then why didn't they place a starting bid of .45 for all the shares they didn't own so shareholders would know where they stood.

191M shares (already own 47M) x .45 = $86M cost

$86M + $320M debt = $406M-$70 (sell Ezulwini) = $336M.

For the same price as a starting point they may have been closer to acceptance than they are now.

I guess they just aren't serious enough or they figure shareholders are stupid.
