Yes, generally speaking I stay away from the leveraged plays and the options, because the math in both cases is set up to benefit the seller at the expense of the buyer.  DUST just seems to be the special exception because the miners seem to have been given an exemption from the usual 'action/reaction' rule of the markets.  Usually it just takes a small rally to kill the performance of a 3x bear fund, but DUST is special because of the unique feature of the miners over the past several months to go in only one direction.
