It would require almost 100% of the trades on the TSE to be all short sells in last month to go from the previous 1 million short to 15 million now in a month. It is almost certain the short position is either a mistake or the result of an accounting error between houses and will self correct without anyone having to buy stock .
If it were truly a 15 million share short position, all incurred from selling the stock short- then that would be amazing and just fabulous news- as it would mean 15 million shares of buying to cover soon. Surely someone will soon post the real answer, but dont hold your breath that this means 15 million shares in buying to cover!! I wish it did.
