RE: RE: RE: ability of production Commodity stocks is the place to be. Don Coxe, the head of Bank of Montreal Financial Services, a man with 40 years experience under his belt was on BNN this evening and categorically said that the place to be in the market today is in commodities, such as coal, iron ore, gold etc. The S&P 500 has given a negative return the last 13 years as opposed to TSX which has done very well due to the overweight in commodities. The bear market in commodities today will turn at some point and he advised against holding Treasuries or Corporate Bonds. He looks at the global GDP and not of North America's and that is China, India and Latin America, or the developing economies for the next 20-25 years. He advised against trading commodities and futures; it's too risky. Equities in commodity companies is his prefered place to invest. So cheer up, it can not be so bad out there.
