RE: RE: RE: Greece`s useless economy Your addition ark88 is true; modern Greece did not evolve through endogenous conflict and the process of primitive acculation of capital like it happened in advanced indutrial countries of the West; how could have, since it was under occupation by a backward power from the East, the Ottomans, who did not allow private property and capital accumulation in order to invest in the economy. So the emergence of the modern state and the socal institutions of the Greek society have been a product of exogenous forces, the Greek capital of diaspora, who needed their client state to promote the interests of European capital and theirs in Asia Minor, Middle East and Africa. Yes, there are historical explanations for the currentg state of affairs which of course can not be fully dealt here.
