This is wrong.  They would be more than happy to buy out minority investors with a cash offer.  Large minority shareholders have told Nordgold they are not interested in a buy out unless it is in the neighbourhood of $3+.  I woudln't be surprised if Nordgold would be willing to pay $2 in a buyout.  

Even if they don't have the cash to do this, they should easily be able to raise the money.  HRG almost has enough money in cash and equivalents, equity in loans and stocks (Detour) to raise the $400million it would take to buy out all HRG minorities at $2.

 Nordgold would become far more valuable if all of HRG's assets were in their portfolio exculsively.
