RE: they should share the pain It is customary in the order of things that when there are lay offs the middle and upper management hide behind some god-given right to maintain their perks and priviledges while the real producers of wealth, the workers, to shoulder all the pain. At the AGM, shareholders should push for a roll back of salaries and perks of the Board and middle and senior management. Pain should be shared across the board and not be dumped on the miners if the news at Trinidad Times is true that 70 miners were laid off last week. In fact Board salaries and perks should be tied to productivity and production results. And the latter have been horroble, to say the least.
