Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, May 24, 2012 (Filing Services Canada via COMTEX) -- Wind River Energy Corp. (WVR - TSX Venture), ("Wind River") announces that the CapStar drill rig has arrived at its Phat City project in Montana and that drilling has begun on the Nelson 9-14 well.

Wind River anticipates that the drilling program will last approximately 15 days, with completion operations to follow immediately thereafter.
