Decisions are not always made on merits alone

Decisions are not always made on merits alone

Having been on the end of signing a purchase order for many years, decisions are not always made on the merits of the product alone.  Especially when the deal is being negotiated with a very large company carrying a lot of clout.  I have seen many times the decision has been finalized when a junket of the decision makers have been flown to a exotic location for the weekend to sign the deal.  Lets not kid ourselves, this is the US market and deals are not done as one may assume.  Takes some legal style promotional aspects, insentives, so to speak.  Its just part of business.   Being in a healthy financial postition to accomadate this just add fuel to the fire.
