Caution on the Excitement: Sure the CEO will make things look as rosy as possible but you always need to question things. Insiders are in this stock at super low prices compared to current price and they certainly want this stock to sky rocket and will say what they can legally to make this happen. According to a recent post, Keith Hill is moving to Kenya from Vancouver, would he save on taxes by doing so? (remember the guy from Facebook who moved to Singapore to avoid US taxes):

Now to the real question and that is what good does it do you to find lots of oil in an unstable region like Kenya, Somalia, etc? We all know about terrorism in Kenya and all the large scale treats, just see this link for some examples (terrorist groups will get excited about oil regions and what they can do to accomplish their purposes). In short, AOI is a trade and not an investment no matter how much oil they find as anything can happen on any day with various types of groups in the country concerning the oil land and AOI can tank at any moment (not because of a lack of oil but treats to the oil land - groups are going to want to take possession, etc):

"Canadians are advised to exercise a high degree of caution because of the increasing number of terrorist acts, kidnappings and incidents of crime targeting Westerners throughout Kenya.
There is a heightened risk of terrorism throughout Kenya, including Nairobi. The insurgent group Al-Shabaab has publicly warned of planned terrorist attacks in Kenya. Terrorist attacks could occur at any time and could target areas frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers. On April 23, 2012, the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi issued a Security Message for U.S. citizens stating that it has received credible information regarding a possible attack on Nairobi hotels and prominent Kenyan government buildings, particularly in the downtown core or Central Business District. Timing of the potential attack is not known."
