RE: ADEQ requested information

RE: ADEQ requested information

elgin1,

"...Have you looked at the request for more information on the 88 questions from the Adeq?  The Adeq is being thorough in their evaluatiion.. POWOF and naysyers like you are calling them deficiencies. Not deficiencies but part of the process.  Adeq wants info like rainstorm precipitation and water patterns for the past 20 years and projected weather rainstorm runoff predictions for the next 20 years. Lots of technical questions of how engineering responds to differing injection rates, ground sampling,  etc. Very complex questions in order to ensure the environment is protected. And by the way, the foreign company as you call it is Canadian, and Canadians are whats keeping the housing afloat in Arizona.  The company has extensive experience in mining via HDI."

I agree with most of what you are saying here.

The thing that I continually cannot seem to understand is the rationale behind the decisions being made.  I'll stop short of putting the blame on management since I will likely be censored again.  Back to the facts.  One of the things you mention is that ADEQ has requested standard hydrology data that was not submitted with the application.  But why is this basic information being left out of the permit application?  The data is is readily available (even I know where to find precipitation data).  Which leads me to wonder.  Is Curis only relying on the VP's expertise in this area or are they firming this out to a qualified consultant?

That's just one item out of the 88 you mention.  I don't mean to bash the company - just trying to understand why this permit keeps getting rejected.  Any insight would be appreciated.
