RE: RIO'sTidal wave

RE: RIO'sTidal wave

Gold is part, but there is also expectation building that RIO will up their guidance for 2012 by a notable amount.  They already have produced approximately 100k ozs in just 5 months on 2012 guidance of 150k-160k ozs.  At 20k ozs per month, even straightline extrapolation gives 240k ozs (assuming grades stay consistent).  Then you have the processing upgrade scheduled to happen (start) in July that will allow them to stack 36,000 tpd.  They are stacking ore that has averaged 1.7 g/t so if that rate continues and you assume 70% recovery rate then you easily get to 40k ozs per month.  There are lots of things that can still go wrong, but I would not be surprised if they upped guidance to at least 200k ozs per year.
